A.I - EPM1-S to SRS Magazine Conversion Kit
Couldn't load pickup availability
Currently working through online orders - Orders placed today should ship early July
This is a conversion kit and requires a donor EPM1-S mag and some basic assembly for it to function!
So, you want higher capacity SRS mags but don't like the look of adapters? Well now there's a alternative...
Using the airsoft industries EPM-1s to SRS conversion kit you can simply take the internals from an EPM1-S and install them into the kit, giving you the full capacity and reliability of a midcap mag but in a format that is compatible with the SRS.
Installation is quick and simple, requiring no modification to the mag or your SRS, so can be easily reversed if you desire. An installation video and text instructions are available at the link below;
A huge amount of time has gone into the design and testing of these kits to make them as easy to use and reliable as possible.
Features Include:
- Large capacity SRS Mag, 170 rounds without an "M4 adapter"
-
No modification whatsoever required to your SRS
Simply load the converted mag and play
-
Non destructive conversion of the donor EPM mag
It can be easily disassembled and installed back to its original state if desired. (just make sure to keep the spare parts)
-
Sturdy and secure design
No wobbly mags or loose fitment, with high quality print settings meaning near invisible layer lines and solid construction.
-
Still fits in standard m4 pouches - The design uses a small notch to locate itself in the SRS magwell which means that the overall profile can be minimalised allowing the mag to fit comfortably in a standard m4 pouch.
-
Consistent Feeding
Considerable testing has been done on the feeding with excellent results. 9bbs will remain in the top of the magazine when the mag is "empty" but the magazine will still provide 170 shots.
-
Aesthetic design - we have tried to keep the design as realistic as possible while working around the space and geometry limitation required for such a project, so although the top is unconventional, we think the look once it is loaded into the RIF is more stylish. By angling the design it allows a minimal vertical profile that does not protrude past the grip, meaning it shouldn't interfere with a prone stance and also gives more hand room, even compared to the classic SRS magazines.
-
Easy reloads - a lot of consideration has gone into making sure reloads are as easy as possible.
The mag just needs to be inserted in the roughly correct orientation and can simply be pushed from the bottom and will automatically seat itself then lock on the mag catch.
Removal of the mag is also just as easy, standard SRS mags can be difficult to remove due to the location of the mag catch on the SRS and having to simultaneously pull the mag, so we designed a small spring powered ejection assist into the magazine, meaning you can just press the mag catch, then release the catch and pull the mag.
More details can be found in the features video (coming soon)
-
Easy to fill -
Just push and hold a standard plunger style speedloader into the retention nozzle and fill as normal. A small Speedloader adapter is included to simplify the alignment and make filling easier however their use is optional.
- Cost -
- Although our magazines are more expensive than a single silverback magazine, when compared on a cost per capacity basis it is more economical using our system. With one of our mags holding 170 rounds, you would require atleast 5 standard steel srs mags (totaling around £110 at time of writing) to obtain the equivalent capacity.
FAQ:
Why not just print the whole mag instead of using a donor mag?
To achieve reliable feeding in an airsoft magazine the smooth finish provided by injection moulded parts is something that can't be replicated on a 3d printer. Many people have tried, and there's a reason you don't see them. So in the interest of consistency and reliability for the end user, we have designed the kit to utilise the tried and tested internals from the EPM.
Why is the bb hole at an angle?
This is so the mag can be inserted at any angle, don't worry, it still feeds perfectly without the front wall.
How do I install the kit?
An installation for can be found here
What material is it printed with?
The main components are printed in PETG-CF, and the BB retention tab is printed in PET-CF
